DESCRIPTION:In response to the pandemic the global economy must now reasse
ss and reimagine modes of consumption\, supply\, interaction\, productivit
y and\, last but not least – security. What does the accelerated move in
to digital modes mean for cyber risks?\n\nCountering cyber threats success
fully requires a focus on human behaviour as well as technology enhancemen
 t. This networking webinar brings together two academic experts to look at
both digital security by design and human factors\, and will review key a
reas of concern for cyber risk altered by Covid-19 and their long term eff
ects.\n\nSpeakers:\n\nProf SIMON MOORE\, Dept for Computer Science and Tec
hnology: “Toward trustworthy computer systems”\n\nSimon conducts resea
rch and teaching in the general area of computer architecture with particu
lar interests in secure and rigorously-engineered processors and subsystem
s\, such as memory-protection features that safeguard against many current
ly widely exploited vulnerabilities. He is a leading contributor to the CH
ERI project (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) for digital s
ecurity by design.\n\nDr JENNIFER DAFFRON\, RA Cambridge Centre for Risk S
tudies: “Increased rate of digitisation in response to Covid-19 – what
it means for cyber risk moving forward”\n\nJennifer leads the research
on digital risk at the Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies. Her research def
ines and exposes cyber threat vulnerabilities on organisational and human
behavioural platforms for companies around the world. Jennifer holds a PhD
in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge and has publi
shed several papers on attentional templates in visual search.
