 the research question: “how did the colonial society of St. Vincent adap
 t to the volcanic eruptions of La Soufriere?” Research interests are his
 torical and social contexts of eruptions and other disasters\; the creatio
 n and preservation of volcanic knowledge\; how connected vulnerability\, r
 isk and resilience are to culture\; the use of social media versus traditi
 onal media in relation to risk perceptions.
