DESCRIPTION:It is with great pleasure that I introduce the second informal
  lunchtime seminar of Michaelmas term. Caroline Stone is a Senior Research
  Associate for the Civilizations in Contact project\, under the auspices o
 f the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. The project has offices
  in Sir Vivian Fuchs House in Wolfson College\, and is funded by the Golde
 n Web Foundation. After graduating from the University of Cambridge\, Caro
 line spent three years at the Jimbun Kagashu Kenkyusho Research Institute 
 at Kyoto University\, and then worked at the\nBritish School at Rome\, res
 earching in the Vatican Archives. Since then she has written and translate
 d on a variety of topics including one of her specialities\, textiles.\n
