DESCRIPTION:High-energy physics is facing a daunting computing challenge w
 ith the large datasets expected from the HL-LHC and other future colliders
 . Currently available quantum computers range from D-Wave commercial quant
 um annealers to gate-based quantum processor prototypes. I will discuss re
 cent developments in quantum computing and provide an overview of recent w
 ork that may lead to solutions for problems in high-energy physics.
