DESCRIPTION:\nIn a sheared suspension of particles near a plane wall and a
 n inlet flow\, a particle-free layer is observed experimentally. Examining
  the small time asymptotics of this layer\, an interesting structure is fo
 und with many boundary layers both near the wall and the inlet flow. We wi
 ll first solve the simpler problems of an infinite wall and steady flow us
 ing matched asymptotic expansions\, before adapting the solutions and meth
 ods used to approach the full problem.
