DESCRIPTION:Traditionally computers have been used to aid the sciences\, t
 o predict whether a bridge will stand given certain constraints\, for exam
 ple. What happens when we try this in the social domain? Is is possible fo
 r a computer the predict whether a policy will stand the test of time?  Wi
 ll the policy work as intended?\nWe explore this question and discuss the 
 fist step used for  quantifying social factors\, factors which take the fo
 rm of social ideas presented in written documents.\n\nThis 20 minute intro
 ductory talk will be given over zoom. No prior knowledge of artificial int
