DESCRIPTION:Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality is the new trend in many d
 ifferent aspects\, including but not limited to education\, gaming\, and c
 ommerce. One of the major problems to tackle in realizing portable AR/MR d
 evices is to create a map of landmarks around the device efficiently\, for
 mally addressed as the SLAM problem. In the presentation\, I will first in
 troduce what AR and SLAM are\, then we will focus on how to construct a ma
 p around an agent\, which is a key idea of SLAM\, using the example algori
 thm FAST\, BRIEF\, and an enhanced combination ORB.
