DESCRIPTION:A variety of criteria related to causality can be used to cons
 train theories in flat and curved spacetimes.  Often\, these constraints a
 re straightforward to derive in anti de Sitter or flat spacetimes but are 
 poorly understood in de Sitter spacetime.  In this talk I will present som
 e of these constraints\, their relationships and their applications.  I wi
 ll discuss what happens when these constraints are applied to a simple toy
  model in de Sitter spacetime.
