DESCRIPTION:I will describe a formalism to compute the second order gravit
 ational (vacuum) perturbations of Kerr black holes\, a numerical code that
  implements that formalism\, and example output from the code. To motivate
  this work\, I will discuss several applications where going beyond linear
  perturbation theory may be necessary\, including modeling the "ringdown" 
 of (near extremal) Kerr black holes\, modeling "black hole turbulence"\, a
 nd the self-force problem. I will discuss what our current results have to
  say on those issues\, and directions for future work.
