DESCRIPTION:*This public Leverhulme Lecture and Dialogue explores post-pan
 demic law and policy innovation for the UN Sustainable Development Goals.*
 \n\nComplex\, inter-linked ‘wicked problems’ of climate change\, droug
 ht and hunger\; terrestrial and marine ecosystem collapse and species exti
 nction\; and world health pandemics\, among others\, have been signalled b
 y scientists and civil society\, with increasing urgency\, for decades.\n\
 nThe United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a global 
 agenda for the achievement of international treaty obligations but also ec
 onomic recovery coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.\n\nGovernments are sp
 ending billions pandemic recovery. How could this finance foster and not f
 rustrate global sustainability.\n\nJoin us for an insightful event chaired
