DESCRIPTION:This talk focuses on recent attempts to combine brain imaging 
 and genetics in psychiatric research. I will discuss some of my prior work
  in psychiatric neuroimaging of individuals with schizophrenia\, as well a
 s the limitations of this work\, and argue that links with psychiatric gen
 omics are of increasing importance for neuroimaging research. Then\, I wil
 l briefly discuss three ongoing imaging-genomics studies: 1) a transcripto
 me-wide association study of imaging phenotypes in the UK Biobank\; 2) an 
 investigation of copy number variants in the Philadelphia Neurodevelopment
 al Cohort\; 3) an analysis of the correspondence between developmental tra
 jectories derived from imaging and brain gene expression.
