DESCRIPTION:The joint NanoDTC-Impulse-Maxwell Innovation Seminar Series ha
 s a series of brilliant speakers who are at different stages in their Inno
 vation and Entrepreneurship journey.\n\nThe Maxwell Centre\, the Impulse P
 rogramme for Tech Innovators and the NanoDTC are pleased to host Dr Ravi S
 undaram from Oxford Instruments as speaker.\n\nThe talk\n\nWe are living t
 hrough a time where technology is advancing at an unprecedented pace. Driv
 en by advancements in materials processing we are able to hold more comput
 ing and sensing power in the palm of our hands than was possible in large 
 rooms even 20 years ago! However with every new scientific breakthrough no
 wadays\, the question of time to commercialization quickly follows. In thi
 s session\, I will provide an overview of the challenges of development of
  new semiconductor technologies and how Oxford Instruments not only enable
 s such research\, development through the technology readiness levels in l
 abs across the world but also delivers high throughput and performance for
  high volume manufacturing of these devices. After this overview\, I would
  encourage a discussion on the kinds of technologies the audience is worki
 ng with and discuss views on potential bottle necks and expected roadmaps
