DESCRIPTION:Cosmological perturbation theory plays an important role in un
derstanding the formation of large scale structure (LSS) of the Universe.
On a fairly large-scales (long-wavelengths)\, the cosmological fluctuation
s can be treated perturbatively using the fluid description. EFT methods a
llow us to integrate out the nonlinear\, small-scale\, modes where the phy
sics gets increasingly complex (dark matter halo dynamics\, galaxy formati
on\, baryonic physics\, etc.). In the talk\, I shall give an overview of s
ome of the current developments and status of the field. We will conclude
by showing the performance and parameter constraints in light of upcoming
galaxy surveys and I will indicate some future directions.
