DESCRIPTION:The last decade has witnessed a dramatic change in stellar ast
 rophysics research\, following the detection of stellar oscillations in th
 ousands of stars by space missions such as CoRoT\, Kepler\, and TESS. In t
 his seminar I will discuss how these oscillations are being used to charac
 terise stars in different evolutionary phases\, as well as to infer inform
 ation on the details of their internal structure\, allowing us to address 
 long-lasting open questions in stellar astrophysics.
