DESCRIPTION:In pandemic Britain many people have discovered new ways to he
lp their communities. Why not make working together for the benefit of all
the residents permanent? Since 2011 the Flatpack Democracy movement has s
hown that\, by standing as a group of independent local councillors workin
g closely together\, people all over the country can and do steer their lo
cal councils to thrive and prosper\, democratically. Now\, more than ever\
, we have the chance to refocus our local councils on what really matters
to us and our neighbours. With many local elections postponed until 2021 w
e’ve got time to get prepared. Peter Macfadyen's book "Flatpack Democrac
y" is a practical guide to doing this\, based on his experience of creatin
g a council of independent councillors in Frome. "Book here":https://www.
