DESCRIPTION:Tidal interaction between a hot Jupiter and its host star resu
lts in stellar oscillations which produce both a radial velocity signal a
nd a variation of the stellar flux. To compute the perturbation at the su
rface of the star accurately\, non-adiabaticity and departure from the equ
ilibrium tide have to be taken into account. We explain how the modelled
oscillations are converted into photometric and spectroscopic signals\, a
nd present results for both general trends and specific systems.
