DESCRIPTION:Based at the University of Cambridge\, SSPP leverages the skil
 ls\, experiences and perspectives of political activists to ask how academ
 ic communities can better understand\, learn from and support their work.\
 n\nIn this first session of the series\, we are delighted to host Mariana 
 Karkoutly\, a Syrian political and human rights activist based in Berlin.\
 n\nMariana works on international criminal investigations at the Centre fo
 r Justice and Accountability\, and as a program manager at the Syrian poli
 tical organisation Adopt a Revolution. As the 10-year anniversary of the r
 evolution approaches\, Mariana's session will focus on the movement for ju
 stice within the Syrian diaspora. She will also discuss the #SyriaNotSafe 
 campaign and its aim of ending the unlawful and inhumane forced return of 
 refugees and asylum seekers to Syria.\n\nRegistration and more details and
