DESCRIPTION:Recent years have seen the increased adoption of containers as
  a\ndeployment format and Kubernetes to orchestrate them in datacenter\nen
 vironments. From this growth\, Kubernetes has proven to be a reliable\norc
 hestration platform for workloads but has seen much less adoption at\nthe 
 edge. Edge environments have more constrained resources and\ndifferent exp
 ectations for the applications running there. Due to this\,\nmy work aims 
 to target decentralising the datastore component and\nlooking into moving 
 control-plane components onto all worker nodes in\norder to leverage this 
 change of datastore architecture.\n\nBio:\n\nAndrew is a first year PhD st
 udent under Mort's supervision. He obtained\nhis BA in Computer Science fr
 om the Computer Lab before working in\nindustry for a year\, managing prod
 uction Kubernetes clusters while also\nhelping to build a new private clou
 d.\n
