DESCRIPTION:Amid social upheaval and civil unrest\, Americans are being co
 nfronted with the hypervisibility of racial injustice and anti-Blackness t
 hat undergirds their society. The ripples of social unrest felt around the
  world have a profound impact on the disciplines of archaeology and herita
 ge preservation. On June 25\, 2020\, Dr. Flewellen co-organized and chaire
 d a webinar titled "Archaeology in the Time of Black Lives Matter." This w
 ebinar gathered over 1\,700 people to witness five Black archaeologists an
 d a museum professional discuss permutations of anti-Black racism within t
 he field and how they envisioned a discipline committed to eradicating rac
 ial injustice. This presentation will discuss Dr. Flewellen's work with th
 e Society of Black Archaeologists to create actionable steps that will lea
 d to anti-racist archaeology in which antiBlackness is dismantled.\n\nPlea
