 e Large Hadron Collider very often relies on Monte Carlo simulations of fi
 nal state events\, whose accuracy is challenged by the outstanding precisi
 on of experimental measurements. I will discuss how to construct an exclus
 ive event generator for top-quark pair production at next-to-next-to-leadi
 ng order in QCD combined with all-order parton shower simulations. I will 
 discuss its application to LHC phenomenology as well as upcoming challenge
 s on the path towards more accurate event generators.\n\nThe slides are av
