DESCRIPTION:Climate Change Education (CCE) is a fundamental tool that chil
 dren and young people will need as they are forced to navigate the uncerta
 in effects of climate change and deal with the ‘1000 year clean up’ le
 ft by industrial civilisations led by their parents and their parents befo
 re them. Positioned as future leaders\, children and young people are bein
 g expected\, to overcome the legacies of environmental action brought forw
 ard by these previous generations. But are we giving children all of the r
 esponsibility of fixing this but none of the knowledge nor power needed to
  do it? \nIn this presentation I will map how far climate change education
  has come\, the epistemic injustices that we are committing along the way 
 and how I imagine a more meaningful conceptualisation moving forward.
