DESCRIPTION:In two current projects we are attempting to integrate the arc
haeological study of crop remains directly with genetic analyses of those
crop taxa to elucidate the pathways along which agriculture was carried ac
ross Europe and Asia. I shall be contrasting our work on a relatively maj
or crop today\, barley\, and a minor crop\, broomcorn millet\, each of whi
ch offers different challenges and different perspectives on the study of
 Neolithic agriculture.\n\nhttp://www.arch.cam.ac.uk/~mkj12/
