DESCRIPTION:Agricultural robotics has started to be adopted in commercial 
 operations\, however it is still far from being in general use with most s
 ystems being very sector- or even farm-specific.\n\nTo gain greater reach 
 and scalability this industry must increase knowledge sharing and the use 
 of common platforms\, tools\, and standards. This talk will discuss some o
 f the key technologies developed in other industries\, for example automot
 ive\, which could be adopted by the UK agricultural robotics community to 
 accelerate development and help solve some of the key challenges faced by 
 UK agriculture.\n\nWe will also take a look at the role of the Agri-EPI Ce
 ntre including its facilities\, services and previous work undertaken in r
 obotics collaboration.
