DESCRIPTION:The Bs meson provides an excellent tool for studying many aspe
cts of the Standard Model\,\nthrough its production (QCD)\, propagation (n
eutral meson mixing)\, and decay (weak interactions).\nIn this seminar\, I
will present recent measurements of Bs meson production and branching fra
ctions with the LHCb detector.\nThe new measurement of Bs meson production
has a significantly smaller uncertainty than previous measurements and sh
ows intriguing dependencies on b-hadron pT and pp collision centre-of-mass
energy. The resulting improvement in the precision of Bs meson branching
fractions is shown by recent measurements\nof rare Bs meson decays\, which
are mediated by the flavour changing neutral current transition 𝑏→
𝑠ℓ+ℓ− and show interesting deviations from SM predictions
