DESCRIPTION:Embedded in the University or Reading\, NCAS-CMS provides supp
 ort for computational modelling to the ac.uk weather and climate research 
 community. Our work spans a wide range of activity that mirrors the elemen
 ts of the numerical modelling work flow\, from HPC resource management and
  administration\, to running Earth-System models\, to managing and analyzi
 ng model output. I shall attempt to describe the role of NCAS-CMS in the c
 urrent HPC environment and some of the work we are involved in with an eye
