  Professor of International Relations and Director of the Leverhulme Resea
 rch Project Women and the History of International Thought\, having previo
 usly held posts at Harvard\, Princeton\, UCLA\, UC-Berkeley\, the Universi
 ty of Southern California\, the University of Sydney and Oriel College her
 e in Oxford.\n\nHer most recent book\, Economy of Force (Cambridge) won th
 e 2016 Susan Strange Prize for the Best Book in international studies\, th
 e 2016 International Studies Association Theory Section Best Book Award\, 
 and was Runner up for the 2016 Francesco Guicciardini Prize for Best Book 
 in Historical IR.\n\nPatricia was co-editor of the European Journal of Int
 ernational Relations between 2013 and 2018. She is also co-editor of the l
 eading undergraduate textbook in international relations\, The Globalizati
 on of World Politics (Oxford\, 2019). The book is now in its 7th edition a
 nd has been translated into Arabic\, French\, Korean\, Polish\, Greek\, Tu
 rkish\, Slovene\, Hungarian and Macedonian.\n\n*Attendance is free but spa
