DESCRIPTION:Observational constraints and prospects for detection of featu
res\, i.e. oscillations in the primordial\npower spectrum\, have so far co
ncentrated on the CMB and Large Scale Structure surveys. After a broad int
roduction\, I will show how different\nfeatures in the primordial spectrum
lead to characteristic oscillatory patterns in the cosmological stochasti
c gravitational wave background.\nProbing these features could\, for insta
nce\, establish the existence of heavy particles beyond the reach of terre
strial experiments\, and even test the inflationary paradigm or point to a
lternatives to it. Further\, high energy embeddings of inflation often lea
d to departures from the single-field slow-roll paradigm\, resulting in fe
atures in the primordial scalar power spectrum.\nThis provides a clear tar
get for gravitational wave observatories as well as a challenge for\ndevel
oping dedicated data analysis techniques to look for this unique insight i
nto the physics of the early universe.
