 which gives rise to the one-dimensional telegraph process and equation.  I
 n the seminar we will discuss more unusual appearances of run&tumble parti
 cles\, outside the strict context of biophysics or material science.  Exam
 ples include wave phenomena\, the precise relation with the Dirac equation
 \, their appearance in modeling solar plasma and the connection with the s
 ix-vertex model.
