DESCRIPTION:Across computer science\, mathematics\, and other areas of stu
 dy\, compositional techniques give us a powerful way to understand complex
  structures. As a result\, compositionality itself has come under increasi
 ng study\, with the goal of building powerful\, generic tools that can be 
 applied across many domains. I will discuss some of the fundamental proble
 ms in this area\, present recent results\, and discuss possible future app
