 by the Nuffield Council on Bioethics' current enquiry into the ethical asp
 ects of ageing research.\n\nIssues of ethical importance identified by the
  expert working group convened by the Nuffield Council include: \n\n• Ho

 e implications for research and innovation\n• How the aims of research i
 n this field should be prioritised\n• Ethical aspects of the design and 
 conduct of studies\n• The contribution that research and innovation can

 ect healthy ageing\n• How scientific and technological developments may 
 affect perceptions of personal and family responsibility for care in older
  age\n• How concern for equity can be taken into account across all thes
