DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, we will discuss the use of fibre-based
nanosensors decorated with metallic nanoparticles as a vector of enhanceme
nt for sensing molecules in single cells and in tissues\, with the aim of
being implantable in the future\, to gain valuable chemical information re
lated to human health. The topics discussed will include how to create ass
emblies of nanoparticles on the highly curved surface of nanofibers\, inst
rument design\, data processing using machine learning and demonstrate the
applications of these nanosensors in single cell studies for the detectio
n of metabolites and for monitoring neurotransmitters in brain tissues.
