DESCRIPTION:I am working on a secure messaging protocol for patients and c
linicians. At the moment\, patients are\nsending their questions over e-ma
il to NHS clinicians and the clinicians are forced to either ignore the\nq
uestions - because of the insecurity of the medium - or send clinical info
rmation in the clear - because of trying to serve the patient’s immediat
e clinical needs.\n\nI am hoping to offer a better service that is more se
cure but minimizes impact on clinicians’ workflow\,\ni.e. by allowing th
em to continue to use their NHS e-mail. I need to know from the group:\n#
how technically secure is this protocol?\n# where are the social engineeri
ng vulnerabilities?\n# are vulnerabilities low enough to allow adopting th
is protocol as an improvement over existing workflow?\n\nBy way of backgro
und\, my name is Mohammad (www.mo.md) and I trained as a physician at Camb
ridge University and a programmer at Anglia Ruskin University. I wrote six
books about the use of IT in health care but have no expertise in securit
y so was hoping to benefit from the Friday security group meetings.\n
