DESCRIPTION:This is a short scientific meeting covering aspects of neurode
 generation research to highlight work by groups collaborating with the ALB
 ORADA Drug Discovery Institute. Over the course of a 2 hour scientific mee
 ting there will be three scientific talks and a short introduction to the 
 ALBORADA Drug Discovery Institute highlighting opportunities for collabora
 tion for both academic and industrial groups.\n\nThe meeting will start wi
 th a plenary lecture from Jason Gestwicki of the University of California 
 San Francisco on the role of chaperones in tau proteostasis and will also 
 feature talks from PhD students - at the Cambridge Dementia Research Insti
 tute on a novel pathway for degradation of fibrillar tau by the ubiquitin-
 proteasome system and from Inserm\, University of Lille on the role of fer
 roptosis in neurodegeneration.
