DESCRIPTION:The eighth conference hosted by the Cambridge Journal of Regio
 ns\, Economy and Society will take place on 17 September 2021\, on the the
 me “Regions Economy and Society in the Post Covid World”. This will be
  a free one day online conference.\n\nThe conference is related to two for
 thcoming issues of CJRES\, “The Post-Covid City” and “The State and 
 the Covid Crisis“. The conference themes will focus first\, on the impac
 ts of the Covid Pandemic on cities and whether and in what ways cities wil
 l/should be reconfigured economically\, socially and spatially as countrie
 s emerge and rebuild from the pandemic\; and \, second\, on the ways in wh
 ich states have responded in their attempts to control and ameliorate the 
 effects of the pandemic\, and whether and how far these interventions poin
 t to the case for new state forms and policy architectures.
