DESCRIPTION:A plant developmental biologist\, Andrew Fleming is Professor 
 of Plant Science at the University of Sheffield’s Department of Animal a
 nd Plant Sciences. His research is focused on leaf form and function\, exp
 loring the mechanisms of shape change\, how cell division and growth are i
 ntegrated into this process\, and the influence this has on the physiologi
 cal function of the leaf\, especially photosynthesis. Can this knowledge b
 e used to re-engineer the leaf?
