DESCRIPTION:ATLAS is a particle physics experiment at the Large Hadron Col
 lider (LHC) at CERN - the world’s largest and most powerful particle acc
 elerator. Its goal is to answer questions such as: What are the basic buil
 ding blocks of the universe? What is dark matter? In this seminar I will g
 ive an overview of these fundamental questions\, and how we seek answers t
 o them by using data from ATLAS to search for new particles.
