DESCRIPTION:On a background Minkowski spacetime\, the relativistic Euler e
quations\nare known\, for a relatively general equation of state\, to admi
t unstable\nhomogeneous solutions with finite-time shock formation. By con
trast\,\nsuch shock formation can be suppressed on background cosmological
\nspacetimes whose spatial slices expand at an accelerated rate. The\ncrit
ical case of linear\, ie zero-accelerated\, spatial expansion\, is not\nas
well understood. In this talk\, I will present two recent works\nconcerni
ng the relativistic Euler and the Einstein-Dust equations for\ngeometries
expanding at a linear rate. This is based on joint works with\nDavid Fajma
 n\, Todd Oliynyk and Max Ofner.\n\nThis will be a hybrid seminar\; \nZoom
