DESCRIPTION:Elastoplastic models consider the elastic interactions and pla
 stic deformations of glassy materials in a coarse-grained mesoscopic envir
 onment. The models have been widely used in the context of rheology.\n\nWe
  study simple elastoplastic models to understand the mechanical response o
 r yielding of well-annealed glasses and equilibrium glass dynamics. In the
  first part of my seminar\, I will discuss the non-equilibrium brittle to 
 ductile yield transition in our elastoplastic models. Then\, in the second
  part\, I will discuss dynamic heterogeneity in equilibrium dynamics\, whi
 ch originates from elastic interactions.
