 fundamentally in conflict?*\n\nAs a physicist and member of the Clergy\, R
 evd Dr John Polkinghorne is one of the leading figures on the relationship
  between religion and science and will be discussing his views on the subj
 ect.\n\nHe describes his outlook as ‘critical realism’\, the idea that
  there is one world\, with science and religion addressing aspects of the 
 same reality.\n\nWhile a PhD student in Physics he studied under Paul Dira
 c at Trinity College and was later elected professor of mathematical physi
 cs & ordained in the Church of England. He was also President of Queens’
  College and was knighted for services to science\, religion and medical e
 thics. \n\nEntry\, refreshments and wine are free of charge for University
