DESCRIPTION:Who were our ancestors and our distant relatives? In this talk
 \, we will explore the story and mechanisms of human evolution and tentati
 vely address the question of “what makes us humans”. We will meet the 
 oldest members of our family and examine the earliest evidence of the genu
 s Homo and the implications of the co-existence of our ancestors with anot
 her hominin genus\, Paranthropus. We will finally explore fossil human div
 ersity and see how the new technologies (DNA\, imaging techniques) refine 
 our knowledge of extinct human species.
