DESCRIPTION:Generalized contextuality refers to the impossibility of provi
ding a context-independent probabilistic model for statistical data. In th
is talk\, we will explore in more detail this concept and its relation to
quantum theory. It is believed that contextuality is the most prominent no
nclassical feature of quantum statistics. We will then study contextuality
in relation to the circuit model of quantum computations and argue that i
t is a necessary resource for any quantum computational advantage.
