DESCRIPTION:_To commemorate the centenary of the passing of 'Abdu'l-Bahá\
 , the Cambridge University Bahá'í Society has arranged online talks by e
 ight international speakers. Each speaker will focus on one theme based on
  the teachings and life of this unique individual and its relevance to our
  world today. This is the fourth talk in the series._\n\n*Religious Modern
 ity and Peace: Insights from a 1919 Letter to The Hague*\n\nThis talk will
  explore the contemporary relevance of the "Tablet to The Hague\," a Bahá
 'í document of "far-reaching importance\," which sketches key principles 
 to ensure a sustainable international peace.\n\nMaja Groff is an internati
 onal lawyer based in The Hague\, and is a Convenor of the Climate Governan
 ce Commission\, which seeks to propose high impact global governance innov
 ations adequate to meet the climate challenge. As a Principal Legal Office
 r\, she has previously worked on the development and administration of mul
 tiple multilateral treaties\, as well as at international criminal tribuna
 ls\, has taught at the Hague Academy of International Law and is currently
  a Visiting Professor at Leiden University\, Faculty of Governance and Glo
 bal Affairs. A graduate of Harvard\, Oxford\, and McGill Universities\, an
 d she is an attorney admitted to practice in the state of New York\, forme
 rly working in corporate law. She was a co-winner of an international priz
 e in 2018 on global governance innovation (New Shape Prize). She serves on
  the Advisory Boards of BCorp Europe and ebbf\, organisations devoted to e
