DESCRIPTION:_To commemorate the centenary of the passing of 'Abdu'l-Bahá\
 , the Cambridge University Bahá'í Society has arranged online talks by e
 ight international speakers. Each speaker will focus on one theme based on
  the teachings and life of this unique individual and its relevance to our
  world today. This is the final talk in the series._\n\n*'Abdu'l-Bahá and
  the Modernists*\n\nDuring the early years of the twentieth century\, ‘m
 odernist’ writers and artists rejected time-honoured conventions in thei
 r quest to convey the sensibilities of a new age. This presentation brings
  to light the little-known personal meetings that a number of these influe
 ntial figures had with ‘Abdu’l-Bahá\, the head of the Bahá’í Fait
 h from 1892-1921\, and their responses to His personality and message.\n\n
 Robert Weinberg is a broadcast journalist and producer for radio programs 
 for both the BBC and independent radio in the United Kingdom. From 1994-20
 08\, Robert was Senior Producer—and from 2013-2017 On-Air Editor—for C
 lassic FM\, during which time he made programs with Sir Edward Heath\, Pau
 l McCartney\, the Three Tenors and countless other leading figures from th
 e arts world. He also wrote a monthly column on film music for Classic FM 
 magazine and authored An Opera Miscellany (2007\, Marshall Cavendish) and 
 Classic FM “Handy Guides” to Opera and Film Music (2015\, Elliott and 
 Thompson). Robert is a regular writer on art\, and reviewer of exhibitions
 \, for the Telegraph newspaper\, Apollo magazine\, The Art Story website a
 nd The British Art Journal. Since 2020\, Robert has been producing and pre
 senting podcasts and documentary films for historian Dan Snow’s History
