DESCRIPTION:Anchored steel sheet pile walls are frequently\nadopted as ret
aining structures in port\nfacilities. Coastal regions of many countries i
n\nthe world are highly seismic\, meaning that\nASSP walls are likely to e
xperience intense\nseismic shaking. Most failures of port\nstructures resu
lted from excessive\ndisplacements that compromised the\nserviceability of
the facility\, hence\ndisplacement methods should be preferred in\nevalua
ting the seismic performance of ASSP\nwalls. Good understanding of the sei
smic\nbehaviour of these structures is necessary to\nextend existing displ
acement predictive\nmethods to the analysis of ASSP walls under\nseismic a
 ctions.
