DESCRIPTION:Models of influence spread have been studied in a number of do
mains\, including the effect of 'word of mouth' in the\npromotion of new p
roducts or the diffusion of technologies. A social network can be represen
ted by a graph where the nodes are\nindividuals and the edges indicate a f
orm of social relationship. The flow of influence through a network can be
thought of as an\nincreasing process of active nodes: as individuals beco
me aware of new trend\, they have the potential to pass them on to their\n
neighbours. We will present a mathematical model of the dynamics of casc
ading behaviours on general networks and analyse the outcome of such proce
 sses.
