DESCRIPTION:In the Standard Model (SM) the decays of B-mesons to purely mu
onic final states are highly suppressed and are thus predicted to occur ve
ry rarely\; they are therefore of great interest when considering indirect
searches for new physics (NP). There are several extensions of the SM tha
t introduce new particles or processes that could influence the strengths
of couplings in muonic interactions. In light of the recent experimental t
ensions for particular measurements of b->sll flavour observables—the pr
ecision tests of lepton flavour universality (LFU) ratios in particular—
we may be starting to see a consistent picture of NP couplings to second-g
eneration particles. In this talk\, recent LHCb results for the decays of
B-mesons to purely muonic final states\, both dimuon and four-muon\, are p
 resented.
