DESCRIPTION:Abstract: Fisher's exact test\, named for Sir Ronald Aylmer Fi
sher\,\ntests contingency tables for\nhomogeneity of proportion. Here I di
scuss a generalization of Fisher's\nexact test for\nthe case where some of
the table entries are constrained to be zero.\nThe resulting test is\nuse
ful for assessing cases where the null hypothesis of conditional\nmultinom
ial distribution\nis suspected to be false. If the (unconditional) propo
rtions are\nindeed identical amongst\nrows\, they may be estimated using l
ikelihood techniques. The test and\nestimators\nare implemented in the R
programming language in the form of two packages.\n
