DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:* The talk will outline the history of the setting u
 p of the National Centre for Gaming Disorders in 2019  and will  give an i
 n depth understanding of the clinical presentation of the young people ass
 essed and treated. The issues impacting family members and family life cau
 sed by a loved one's gaming disorder will be described as will the interve
 ntions delivered at the clinic. \nSome of the talk will cover the neurobio
 logy of the illness as well as the global WHO work of the expert advisory 
 group on Gaming Disorder. \n \n\n*Biography:* Professor Henrietta Bowden-J
 ones OBE is the current President of Psychiatry\, Royal Society of Medicin
 e (2020-2022). She is a medical doctor and neuroscience researcher working
  as Consultant psychiatrist in Addictions\, leading two national clinics i
 n the UK. As well as graduating in Medicine and specialising in Psychiatry
  with a CCST in Addiction Psychiatry\, Prof Bowden-Jones also pursued a re
 search career and a Medical Doctorate in Neuroscience from Imperial Colleg
 e (Ventromedial Prefrontal Cortex impairment in Alcohol Dependency). She i
 s the founder and joint Chair of the National UK Research Network for Beha
 vioural Addictions ( NUK-BA) based at Cambridge University. She has publis
 hed several books and has an extensive publication list in a whole range o
