DESCRIPTION:I will discuss measurements of hadronic event-shape variables 
 in multi-jet events in proton-proton collisions using the ATLAS detector. 
 In addition to the classical variables\, the transverse energy-energy corr
 elations and their associated azimuthal asymmetry are presented. These res
 ults provide a precision test of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics at la
 rge momentum transfers. From a comparison of data with theory\, the strong
  coupling constant is extracted at NLO accuracy. Nowadays\, NNLO predictio
 ns are available for observables requiring three jets in the final state. 
 Thus\, alpha_s determinations from multi-jet measurements can be advanced 
 to NNLO accuracy.
