DESCRIPTION:The talk will give an overview of research activities in the R
 olls-Royce Control and Systems Engineering UTC.  This will explain how the
  UTC operates with the company and will cover projects on distributed syst
 ems development\, control law development\, prognostics and diagnostics fo
 r a range of applications in civil and military aircraft\, marine propulsi
 on and power generation. The talk will also include associated work with A
 irbus developing More Electric Technologies and a Wireless Nervous System 
 for future Active Aircraft. The activities of the Centre in wireless senso
 r development and energy harvesting will also be presented.
